Project Overview

Mill and Overlay

Improvements with this proposed project are the rehabilitation of streets via a mill and overlay in the Mapledell, Heritage/Medicine Lake Highlands and Westridge Estates/Forster Preserve neighborhoods. (Click on the links below to view the project location map for each neighborhood.) A mill and overlay involves removing a portion of the existing pavement (milling) the edges of the street and applying a new layer of asphalt over the entire roadway.

Reclamation

Nathan Lane, Schmidt Lake Road, 45th Avenue, and the Highway 169 Service Drive between Rockford Road and Schmidt Lake Road are proposed to be reclaimed. (Click on the link below to view the project location map.) Reclaiming involves completely grinding up the existing pavement to reuse it as the gravel base for paving the new roadway surface.
