21st Century Policing in PlymouthTrust in the Community
Trust between law enforcement agencies and the people they protect and serve is essential in a democracy. It is key to the stability of the community, the integrity of the criminal justice system, and the safe and effective delivery of policing services.

In 2014, a presidential task force was established to develop the 21st Century Policing model. The Plymouth Police Department works to continually improve policies and tactics through the 21st Century Policing outline and its recommendations.

Six Pillars
The 21st Century Policing recommendations, each with action items, are organized around six main topic areas. Click each pillar to explore the recommendations and learn how the Plymouth Police Department works to improve service through the 21st Century Policing outline.
