Purchase a Key Box
The Plymouth Fire Department encourages businesses to purchase business key boxes.
Key boxes allow first responders immediate entry into buildings using secured keys to which only Plymouth Public Safety Department staff members have access.
The use of key boxes helps reduce injuries to responders and minimizes property damage caused when forcing entry into buildings through doors and windows during an emergency.
In many cases, key boxes are required by the Minnesota State Fire Code (506.1)
The Plymouth Fire Department has both recessed type and surface-mount type key boxes, as well as mounting hardware, available for purchase. Purchase a key box.
