The Plymouth City Council adopted changes to the city code that address short-term rentals, commonly referred to as Vrbo or Airbnb. All property owners who operate a short-term rental must fulfil short-term rental license requirements which include an application, fee, rental inspection, completion of mandatory city training, and completes the monthly lodging tax submittal.

A short-term rental is defined as accommodations at a residential dwelling property, or unit of a residential dwelling, that is rented for a duration of less than 30 days at one time, not including properties meeting the definition of “Hospitality Accommodation” in Section 435 of the city code.

To complete training requirements for the application, review the video below as well as all supplemental materials. Once finished, complete the form at the bottom of the page to notify city staff of training completion.
