Lakes and Wetlands

The eight lakes and more than 800 wetlands in Plymouth are subject to various restrictions. For example, motorboat restrictions are in place for Hadley, Lost, Mooney and Medicine lakes.

The State of Minnesota Wetland Conservation Act prohibits excavation, fill or draining of wetlands without an approved wetland mitigation plan. For more information on wetland restrictions, contact the City of Plymouth Water Resources staff at the number below.

The city also conducts an annual water quality monitoring program on lakes and streams and has completed aquatic vegetation reports for various lakes in the city.
