The items below are accepted in curbside recycling carts and at the city's Recycling Drop-Off Site. For other items not listed contact Republic Services or Solid Waste staff:

Metal food and beverage cans - rinse and leave on caps and lids, labels may be left on

Glass bottles and jars - rinse and remove caps and lids

• Brown, green and clear bottles and jars 

 Food and beverage cartons - rinse and leave on caps

• Milk, juice, soup and broth, and wine

Paper

• Mail, office and school papers (not shredded)
• Magazines and catalogs
• Newspapers and inserts
• Phone books
• Paperback books (no hardcovers)
• Cardboard (flattened and cut into smaller pieces)
• Boxes for: Cereal, crackers, pasta, cake mixes, pop, beer, toothpaste and other toiletries, medications, shoes 

Plastics - Rinse and leave on caps and lids

• Bottles and jugs: Water, soda, milk, juice, ketchup, salad dressing, dish soap, detergent, shampoo, soap, lotion
• Cups: Yogurt, pudding and fruit cups;, and clear disposable cups
• Containers: Margarine, whipped cream, cottage cheese, and clear produce, deli, and  take-out containers

Recycle the right stuff. These everyday common items are very important to keep out of the recycling cart:

	Plastic bags and wrap
	Paper plates and cups
	Plastic utensils and straws
	Plastic foam:  Cups, containers, and packing materials
	Black plastic
