The City of Plymouth is working with the Bassett Creek Watershed Management Commission (BCWMC) to improve water quality and drainage within Plymouth Creek from Dunkirk Lane to the Plymouth Ice Center (38th Ave N). This project is located east of Dunkirk Lane, south of Old Rockford Road and north of the Plymouth Ice Center.

The proposed project consists of stream erosion improvements, bank slope grading, and minor dredging of accumulated sediment in certain areas. Also included will be vegetation enhancements to improve drainage in the area, reduce erosion in the stream/channels, and improve water quality in Plymouth Creek and downstream Medicine Lake.

Maintenance of storm sewer pipes, replacement of damaged outlet structures, erosion and ditch maintenance, sediment removal, and in-stream and riparian habitat improvements could also be included in the project. It is anticipated that some tree removals will be necessary.
