Plymouth’s subdivision regulations (Chapter 5 of the City Code) are intended to ensure that the separation of land into two or more lots:

• Conforms with the city’s comprehensive plan;
• Does not occur prematurely, before adequate sewer, water and streets are available;
• Conforms with design standards for streets and utilities; and
• Contributes toward an attractive, livable, and safe community.
