About the Commission

The Charter Commission is an independent body. Its members are appointed by the Chief Judge of the Fourth Judicial District. The commission is tasked to periodically review and suggest resolutions regarding issues related to the charter.

The commission meets annually on the second Wednesday in December at 7 p.m. in the Medicine Lake Room at Plymouth City Hall. Members serve staggered, two- to four-year terms. Notice of vacancies and the appointment process for the Charter Commission will be publicized via this website, the city newsletter and local media.
