A healthy environment is important to the excellent quality of life in Plymouth. Informed residents take action to protect the lakes, wetlands and other natural surroundings they love. The City of Plymouth provides information and opportunities for residents to better understand the many ways they can protect the environment.

Plymouth’s environmental education program addresses waste reduction, recycling and water quality along with new and emerging environmental issues.
