Plymouth set to hold Story Time at Old Town Hall this summer

Story Time at Old Town HallThe Plymouth History Center is set to hold a new Story Time series 10-11 a.m. Tuesdays, July 30, Aug. 6 and Aug. 13 at Plymouth Old Town Hall, 3605 Fernbrook Lane N.

Geared toward families with elementary-age children, the free event series is designed to engage younger audiences and spark interest in learning about Plymouth’s history. Stories about various historical topics will be read to participants, and each event will include an activity that coincides with the story.

Story Time topics include:

  • July 30 – The history of aviation and farming
  • Aug. 6 – The history of farming
  • Aug. 13 – The history of voting

“History is all about storytelling and passing down insights to future generations,” said Plymouth Historical Site Coordinator Ryan Barland. “Old Town Hall is reopening, and we are excited to use the space to share information about Plymouth’s past in a fun and interactive setting.”

The events are free and open to the public; registration is not required.

Old Town Hall Reopening, Hours of Operation

The City of Plymouth will hold an open house 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 3 to celebrate the reopening of its historical building, Plymouth Old Town Hall. The facility will be open to the public 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, and the first Saturday of every month.
