Water levels on Medicine Lake in Plymouth have receded and the “slow – no wake” order was lifted today, June 5 at 6 a.m.
The City of Plymouth announced the no wake order May 30. When a no wake rule is in effect boaters are required to slow their speeds to 5 mph or less.
Speed restrictions on the lake go into effect when the water level reaches at least 889.4 feet for three consecutive days and are lifted when the water is below that level for three consecutive days.
The cities of Plymouth and Medicine Lake adopted the slow no wake ordinance to help protect the shoreline when water levels are unusually high.
