Plymouth Metrolink Route Extension Takes Riders to East Town, U of M
Post Date:08/22/2016
Plymouth Metrolink offers extended route service to East Town in Minneapolis and the University of Minnesota campus beginning Tuesday, Sept. 6.
U of M students and faculty can catch a no-transfer ride all the way from Plymouth to campus. The student U-Pass is accepted on all Metrolink buses. Metrolink also extends to East Town in Minneapolis, which includes U.S. Bank Stadium, Wells Fargo, the Hennepin County Government Center and more.
“This route extension allows easy, no-transfer access to commuter locations east of downtown,” City of Plymouth Administrative Services Director Luke Fischer said. “Previously, a commuter from the west metro would have to change buses at least once in downtown. Now, university students and faculty, and employees who work in the East Town area can take just one bus and save time.”
Metrolink riders can take advantage of a stress-free commute with free Wi-Fi on all express route buses. Instead of fighting traffic – catch up on the news, homework or email. Using Metrolink is easier than ever with the Metrolink app available for Android, iPhone and Windows Phone. The app allows riders to plan their commute, track their bus in real time and receive alerts.
