The City of Plymouth is seeking applicants to fill vacancies on the Plymouth Advisory Committee on Transit. Residents who have an interest in public transit and wish to contribute to the community are encouraged to apply. The deadline to apply is 4:30 p.m. Thursday, July 31.
PACT advises the City Council on the Plymouth Metrolink bus system, which provides express service between Plymouth and downtown Minneapolis, local shuttles, and a Dial-A-Ride service.
The seven-member group meets quarterly from 7-9 p.m. on the fourth Wednesday of the month and is responsible for addressing transit-related issues in Plymouth. PACT recommends changes and enhancements to the transit system provided through Plymouth Metrolink and Dial-A-Ride, transit facilities, route changes, monitoring legislation and marketing of the transit system.
The City Council will interview applicants and appoint committee members at a City Council meeting. The term will begin immediately and run through Jan. 31, 2016.
