The City of Plymouth garnered its 27th consecutive award for financial reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada. The Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting award recognizes the city’s 2008 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report.

This award is the highest form of recognition in governmental financial reporting. It recognizes local governments that go beyond the minimum requirements of generally accepted accounting principles to prepare comprehensive annual financial reports, promoting transparency and full disclosure.
