Lingering Winter Weather Delays Yard Waste Site Opening Until April 17
Post Date:04/10/2013
Due to lingering winter weather, the opening day of the Plymouth Yard Waste Drop Off Site has been a moving target. The opening is being delayed for a third time. The yard waste site, 14900 23rd Ave. N., is now expected to open on Wed., April 17.
When the site opens, yard waste will be accepted Wednesdays through Sundays. April hours are Wed. – Fri., 3 - 6 p.m., and Sat. - Sun, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Hours of operation will be extended starting in May. The site is closed on Mondays and Tuesday throughout the season.
The Yard Waste Site is available to Plymouth residents only – identification is required. Residents may dispose of spring lawn rakings, leaves, vegetative garden waste and brush/tree waste. Materials that are not accepted include grass clippings, lumber, sod and soil.
If winter-like weather persists or conditions at the site are unsuitable for traffic, the opening may be delayed past April 17. To verify that the site is open before making a trip, residents can check back on the city website or call 763-509-5950.
