Plymouth’s signature summer event, Music in Plymouth returns for the 51st year Thursday, July 6 at the Hilde Performance Center, 3500 Plymouth Blvd.
Hosted by the Plymouth Civic League and City of Plymouth, the event begins at 5:30 p.m. and offers food, fun and entertainment – featuring a world-class performance by the Minnesota Orchestra.
Music in Plymouth Lineup
Music in Plymouth begins with a welcome, followed by performances featuring:
- Heart & Soul Drum Academy, which builds bridges across communities by connecting youth to drumming
- French Cabaret Trio, featuring popular dance music from Ireland, Italy, France and Romania
- Genesis Jazz Orchestra, which performs big band arrangements of jazz standards, as well as contemporary jazz compositions
Following the opening lineup, the Minnesota Orchestra will perform classic and modern scores leading up to the grand finale – a spectacular fireworks display.
Entertainment, children’s activities and roving entertainers will perform along the grounds of the Hilde throughout the evening.
A variety of food trucks and concessions will be available, and attendees can bring picnic suppers.

Reserving Spots
Please note that, due to extensive underground wiring and sprinkling systems at the Hilde, staking and roping off seating areas is strictly prohibited.
Those attending Music in Plymouth will not be allowed to leave blankets, chairs or tarps on the grounds until after 7 a.m. the morning of the event.
Free Shuttle Service
Music in Plymouth Shuttle Update: Shuttles to Music in Plymouth will no longer be available at West Lutheran High School. Instead, attendees can take free shuttles from parking lots at Plymouth Creek Elementary School (16005 41st Ave. N.) or the Plymouth Community Center (14800 34th Ave. N.).
Shuttles service runs 5-11:30 p.m.
