The City of Plymouth rents out park buildings and picnic shelters on an hourly basis, including the Parkers Lake Pavilion, North Picnic Shelter and Bass Lake Building. Full payment is due at the time the facility is reserved. Meeting rooms are also available to rent at the Plymouth Creek Center, Fieldhouse and Ice Center. The Hilde Performance Center and athletic fields are also available for rental. The City of Plymouth has adopted a tobacco-free policy for parks and recreation facilities.

Life Time Fitness

The Plymouth Ice Center and Life Time Fitness (PDF) complex is a first of a kind public-private collaboration. The City of Plymouth, Wayzata School District and Life Time Fitness joined forces to make this first-rate recreational facility a reality. Since Life Time Fitness opened in 1997, it has served as a model for several other communities in the state and throughout the nation.

Plymouth Dog Parks Dog Park(PDF)

  • Plymouth Dog Park (South side of Co Ro 47 between Lawndale and Dunkirk)
  • Plymouth Playfield-in hockey rink (10011 36th Ave)
  • Oakwood Playfield-in hockey rink (Co Rd 6 and Co Rd 101)

To the delight of dogs and dog owners, theses areas are designed so dogs can run free on park land. Plymouth Dog Park contains a new fenced area for small dogs. The off-leash area is bordered by private property. Please respect our neighbors and keep your pets within the confines of the off-leash area. As of 2010, it is not required for dogs to be licensed.

Skate Park
3625 Fernbrook Lane (in Plymouth Creek Park).
Plymouth’s Skate Park is open daily from 9 a.m. to sunset. Admission is free. The Skate Park provides skateboarders and in-line skaters a variety of ramps and rails.

Nature Canyon Park
Fernbrook Lane & 44th Place
Nature Canyon has beautiful nature trails with a gorge, wildflowers and forest ecology.

Bocce Ball
14800 34th Ave.
Bocce ball is a great way to casually enjoy the outdoors and is popular among youth and seniors. The city’s courts are free to use and equipment is available for check-out at the Plymouth Creek Center front desk.

Pickle Ball
10011 36th Ave.
Combining tennis and ping-pong, Pickleball appeals to a variety of ages as a lifelong activity.

Canoe & Kayak Racks
Canoe & Kayak racks are available for rental at Parkers Lake Beach, Pomerleau Lake, West Medicine Lake Beach and East Medicine Lake Beach. Information sheet & application form.

Disc Golf
Plymouth has two disc golf courses that are free to the public.

  • Plymouth Creek Playfield, 3625 Fernbrook Ln.
  • Zachary Playfield, 4355 Zachary Ln.
